Always do what will put your life in the right direction. Always weigh your choices and carefully think through your decisions to see if they will either help or hinder your goals and dreams.

Temptations are easy to follow but future success is your ultimate dream. So every time that you make a decision think to yourself if it will just bring you short-term enjoyment or will it really contribute to your long-term fulfillment.

For example, will eating a deep fried onion bring you short term enjoyment or will it contribute to your long-term dreams of achieving good health and longevity? It is up to you whether you want to enjoy yourself for a short period instantly or for the rest of your life?

Do what will contribute to your long-term life fulfillment. Think about where that one choice will push you towards twenty years from now. If you continue to eat deep fried onions everyday for the next twenty years, where will that get you? If you continue to jog every morning where will that get you in twenty years?

Take all of this into consideration about where you want your self-fulfillment to be and what choices you have to make in order to achieve it. Will spending a lot of money alcohol and drugs help you toward your goals of financial success or will investing that same money into an IRA instead of alcohol and drugs giving you financial freedom for your retirement.

Same thing goes for a small business. Cut out the money you spend for your bad habits and invest it into a home based business where you have the potential to earn residual income along with helping other people to do the same.
